You do not need a dedicated barcode-scanner device. Use a supported phone browser, or enter the member code using the available manual field.
1

Choose the outlet

Open the merchant scan flow and select the outlet serving the member.
2

Ask for the member's QR

The customer opens their Kardy wallet and shows their pass.
3

Scan or enter the code

Choose Start camera and allow camera access. Keep the whole Kardy QR inside the four corners with some space around it. A recognised QR starts a membership check; manual entry requires Check membership.
4

Choose the action

Use Check membership to check an existing reward without adding a stamp. After checking, use Add stamp only to record a qualifying visit.
5

Wait for confirmation

Check the result and stamp count. Do not repeatedly submit while waiting.
6

Redeem when ready

When the flow shows an available reward, confirm it with the customer and use the redeem action. You do not need to award another stamp to reach this action. Wait for the redemption result before handing over the reward.

When something goes wrong

Hold both devices steady, adjust their distance until the code is sharp, and turn up the customer’s screen brightness. Tilt away from reflections. Close camera stops scanning; manual member-code entry remains available if camera access fails. Only supported Kardy membership QR formats are accepted by the camera. Website links, join-page QR codes, scripts and malformed payloads are rejected, not opened or executed. A correctly formatted code must still pass server-side membership, access and outlet checks. Scanning alone never awards a stamp or redeems a reward. Changing the code or outlet requires checking the membership again before acting. If a redemption response is interrupted, use Retry redemption to check the same request. Do not start another claim until Kardy confirms the result.
  • Camera unavailable: check browser permissions, lighting, and browser support; use manual entry if offered.
  • Code not recognised: ask the member to reopen their current pass and check that you selected the correct business context.
  • Access or subscription error: ask the owner to check activation and authorised access.
  • Reward unavailable at this outlet: ask the Manager to check the reward’s eligible active outlets. Do not bypass the restriction.
  • Unexpected stamp or redemption: retain the details and contact support. Do not delete audit history or promise an undo feature.
A QR contains an opaque identifier, not the member’s email, phone number, or password. Treat a member’s QR as private and do not post screenshots publicly.
