# Save a native wallet pass

> Add a QR pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet when issuance is enabled.

<Note>
  Use the Kardy browser wallet if save options are unavailable. Native issuance
  requires configured issuer credentials and scanner readiness; a preview is not
  an installed pass.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open wallet actions">
    Sign in and find the available save controls for your Kardy identity or
    membership.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your wallet">
    Select **Add to Apple Wallet** or **Add to Google Wallet**, if enabled.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Finish on your device">
    For Apple, open the downloaded pass and complete adding it. For Google,
    follow the save link and finish in Google Wallet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the saved pass">
    Open your native wallet and confirm the pass is present. Starting a download
    alone does not prove it was added.
  </Step>
</Steps>

**Done when:** the pass appears in your device's wallet.

With automatic updates enabled, your saved membership pass can show new stamp
progress after a visit or redemption. Refreshing is not instant. The update
service for Apple Wallet is running, but saving passes remains disabled until
device testing is complete. Google Wallet still needs production setup and
approval. Use your Kardy browser wallet until save controls are available.

If preparation fails, use the retry option when offered or continue showing your
QR in Kardy. See [native wallet boundaries](/features/native-wallets) for supported
outputs, and [Replace your QR](/customer-journey/replace-qr) when an old pass stops working.
