# Joining your programme

> Learn what to share with customers and how they join your Kardy loyalty programme.

Share your organization's membership link or join QR at the counter, on receipts,
or through your own channels. Check that it opens the correct brand before sharing it.

Customers discovering you through Rewards can select **View merchant**, explore
the shop's rewards and locations, then select **Join membership**. A direct join
link still opens the join page without this extra browsing step.

The join page fills the screen on desktop and stacks on mobile. It shows the brand,
programme preview, location, and the action appropriate to the customer's state:
sign up or sign in, join, or open an existing membership. A sample listing whose
merchant is not connected shows a preview notice instead of creating a membership.

The optional **Where are you joining?** selection records an active outlet when the
customer first joins. A join link can preselect it using `?outlet=<outlet UUID>`;
the customer can choose another outlet or **Online / no outlet**. Outlet and referral
details are retained through sign-in and verification. Joining again does not rewrite
the original attribution.

This is signup attribution, not proof of a visit. It neither awards a stamp nor
restricts where rewards may be redeemed; each reward has its own outlet rules.
See [browsing rewards and shops](/customer-journey/discovery) and
[referral qualification](/customer-journey/referrals).

Your **join QR** recruits members. A customer's **membership QR** identifies them at
the counter. Do not scan your own join QR to award a stamp.

Customers can use one Kardy login for several brands, but each brand's progress is separate.
New-account signup starts with email, followed by personal details and password
confirmation. Choose the phone country before entering the number; invalid country
formats cannot be submitted. See [account setup](/accounts/overview#create-an-account)
for the distinction between signup, previews and membership creation.
Next: [help them find their card](/customer-journey/wallet).

**Done when:** the merchant's membership is visible in the customer's wallet. Opening a preview alone is not joining.
