# Collect your first stamp

> Make a qualifying purchase and check the stamp confirmed by the store.

Before purchasing, ask the store what qualifies for a stamp. Joining a programme
or opening a card does not award one.

    Check that the brand appears in your wallet. If not, [complete
    joining](/customer-journey/join) first.

  <Step title="Make a qualifying purchase">
    Follow the merchant's published programme rules.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Show your Kardy QR">
    [Present your code](/customer-journey/show-qr) so authorised staff can
    record the purchase at the correct outlet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for confirmation">
    Staff select **Add stamp** and check the result. Refresh your card to see
    the updated progress.
  </Step>
</Steps>

**Done when:** the staff result confirms the stamp and your current card reflects
the updated balance. Do not treat a disconnected screen as proof that nothing saved.

If progress looks wrong, ask staff to check the result before submitting again.
